Campus AI is the official AI assistant of campuscart.xyz. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

• Anonymous users: Your IP address (for daily rate limiting), browser type, and timestamp. No account is created.
• Signed-in users: Your email address, display name, and optional profile photo (from Google sign-in). Your Firebase user ID for rate limiting.
• Chat messages: The text you type in the chat.
• Voice notes: Audio you record is sent to our AI provider for real-time transcription. It is not stored on our servers.
• Uploaded files: PDFs and images you attach are processed in your browser and only the extracted text is sent to the AI.

2. How We Use It

• To generate a reply to your request.
• To enforce daily and hourly rate limits (10 free messages/day for anonymous users, 30/hour for signed-in users).
• To authenticate your account when you sign in.
• To improve the assistant's answers over time.

3. Where Data Goes

Your messages and audio are sent to our AI processing partner (Groq) for transcription and answer generation. Your account email and ID are stored securely by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

4. What We Do NOT Store

• Raw audio files (voice notes are processed in real-time and discarded).
• Chat history on our servers — your chats are saved only in your browser (localStorage).
• Your password (Firebase stores a hashed version only, never visible to us).

5. Free vs Signed-In Access

• Anonymous: 10 free messages per day (per IP address), no account required.
• Signed in: Unlimited daily messages, with a fair-use limit of 30 per hour. You can also save your chat history across devices in a future update.

6. Your Rights

• Clear your chat history anytime from the sidebar.
• Sign out at any time — you can keep chatting as an anonymous user.
• Delete your account: contact us via WhatsApp and we will remove your account and associated data.

7. Children

Campus AI is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not create an account.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Any changes will appear on this page with a new date.
